Art beyond imagination.
Pearlized Finish for the Artist Editions Sink

From experiment to dream.

The pearlized surface has a dreamlike, ethereal quality that reveals layer upon layer of meaning as one gazes into its depths—the pearlized process, the craftsmanship, the beauty of sink, etc.—all of which are hallmarks of Kohler’s innovation and artistry.

The creative idea for this opalescent finish seamlessly created the way in to Design Miami 2025 in collaboration with Crosby Studio, where many were mesmerized by its beauty and mystery.

In this two phased campaign, I co-led the creative concept development, photo/video production for set, tradeshow and exclusive events, while overseeing post-production and tactical executions to support the full funnel.

Making of the art.

Pearlized wasn’t just created as another finish for bath fixtures, it was a beautiful expression by artist David Franklin, which was used to layer onto the large-scale fish sculptures suspended on the ceilings of museums and galleries across the nation. I wanted the audience to see the origin of this campaign, crediting his vision and creation from the original art, and how the Kohler artisans applied to create the sink.

The story of the crafts and artistic vision behind the Pearlized was created in forms of Social Media & Website Reels and photographs for earned media.

The concept of this partnership campaign pushed Kohler in many ways as a brand. To stop the eyes of those are eager to try new things, the campaign approached to unlock a number of facets this partnership had. From the story of material & color development, to the artist’s POV on this partnership, to the AR social filter, the visual journey generated a robust experience that one could indulge in, until the product became available.

Moving Water.
Formation 01.

The second reel, following the launch date resurfaces the partnership manifesto and visually expresses the fluid dynamics of the sculptural water fixture.

The concept draws inspiration from Ross’ original thinking “…everyday objects can be works of art and provide delightful interactions.” as the reel spotlights the faucet in a Brutalist environment that elevates the water flow and the design of the faucet.

Witnessing Formation 01 inside of the installation, Terminal 01 at Design Miami was more than just a debut. It was a celebration of the partnership in a place where artists, designers and brand partners could experience a sense of boldness, curiosity and the idea in which design met function.

The creative content, including NYT Cover and OOHs resulted in 800M impressions, driving 43k+ foot traffic to the exhibition and 400+ attendees to the private event held in South Beach.
